Photos of random items. Some reflecting a mood I am in, others for the shear joy of it. Challenge and persistence in finding that perfect shot, without manipulating the situation is key for me. No lessons here, I don't have the knowledge to teach.
Jan, I really enjoyed these photo's...they are very representative of the echo system of the Pacific Northwest...and I am a beach and ocean girl..unlike Janu..I love to take my shoes off and walk in the sand and feel the ocean mist on my face. These photo's have that feel..a place of solitude, with only your thoughts and the sound of the ocean in your ears..love the colour tones. Well done.
I enjoy taking my shoes off and walking in the shallow surf; I hold many precious memories of Erin and myself romping through the water. Lovely pics!! Somehow I never associated Oregon with dunes, the first thing that comes to mind is luscious green forests with majestic trees. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Raven, Thank you, being raised here in the northwest and on the coast I find so much of my peace and strength there. I have to visit several times a year. The mountains too with the wind in the old growth fir and redwoods. I don't think I could live anywhere else. Thank you for looking at these and I am glad you enjoyed. @ Jim, the dunes are a wonder. thanks for sstopping by. @ Sweepyjean, me too!! Thanks for stopping. @ Martha, thank you, and thank you for looking.
Thank you David, yes there are lots of the luscious green forests as well but miles and miles of coastline some of which is dunes. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.thanks for stopping in. Bonnie, I know.<3<3<3
These are great photos Jan. Where are the dune buggies? I often look at photos of dunes and picture movies with dunes in them. I'd name a few but, they seemed to have slipped my mind at the moment.
The dune buggies are in a different area, bigger better dunes. I prefer to pretend I am far away from all civilization when I go to the beach. The sound of roaring buggies and screaming young men is just not my cup of tea.lol. Thanks for stopping in.
@ Anna: Thank you, for stopping in, glad you enjoyed. @ Corinne: Thank you, I love everything about the Florence beaches and dunes. @ Susan: These are actually little dunes, I will have to take another trip and get some photos of the big ones.Glad you enjoyed. Luchi: thank you.
Beautiful...though I am not very fond of dunes as I do not like sand creeping into my shoes...I like these pictures, very tranquil.
ReplyDeleteI lived on a dune for awhile. Believe it is not only your shoes it creeps into. It is nice to visit sometimes tho'. Thank you.

Great shots Jan! I've never been to a place like this outside of a beach, and that has been seldom. Love the photos though :)

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful - stark and yet one can be so inspired to go inward. Thanks, Jan.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a dune, Jan. Thanks for showing me pictures. Well, the first picture resembles the hairstyles of some of my students.
ReplyDeleteLoved the different perspectives here.
Joy and peace,
Susan
