"This Moment" is a ritual found on "Life Inspired" by The Wee Man, and "Almost There", by Sarah Jane. Which I confiscated from "Raising Amelie" by Alejandro.
Photos of random items. Some reflecting a mood I am in, others for the shear joy of it. Challenge and persistence in finding that perfect shot, without manipulating the situation is key for me. No lessons here, I don't have the knowledge to teach.

Is that a gull? He/She seems to be enjoying solitary moments. I love the cry of gulls.
ReplyDeleteJoy always and have a great October ahead, Jan.
Joy always,
Susan
Yes it is a gull. We got to the beach just after a baby storm front went through. It had washed a bunch of muscles from their mooring and the gulls were having a feast.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in these shots..how the Gull, beach and ocean all blend into one. There is something magical about the beach after a storm...Always...
ReplyDeleteI 'sea' the connection between your moment and mine, Jan. Seagulls are fascinating creatures - I can hear their shrill sound in my ears looking at your pictures. :)

I really loved this pictures. It reminded me of our home back in Cape Town. We lived 1km from the beach and I loved watching the gulls trying to break open shells to get to the juicy tidbits inside ;o)
ReplyDeleteAn unlucky critter, who finds itself in the beak of one of those! Great moment. Reminds me of our family trip to the Cape, where my daughter, upon realizing what the Seagulls were doing to the crabs, started chasing them angrily. This kept her occupied for about a half an hour! I tried to explain the "circle of life" to her, but she was still angry at the seagulls ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful moment Jan. I love seagulls. They always seem to be so peaceful. Thank you for sharing!
