I am someone who enjoys taking photos, my subjects are random, from bugs to babies. Photography is therapy for me, I have no real knowledge of the art, I am learning a bit here and there. I use an inexpensive camera.I simply love taking shots of interesting or beautiful things I see. I love the adventure of attempting to get the perfect shot. Please enjoy these photos and share them with your friends. For me the ultimate success is knowing someone may be amazed or made to smile.

Friday Moment

A Friday Ritual: A photo-no words-capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special extraordinary  moment. A moment you want to pause savoir and remember.
"This Moment" is a ritual found on "Life Inspired" by The Wee Man, and "Almost There", by Sarah Jane. Which I confiscated from "Raising Amelie" by Alejandro.

  1. Is that a gull? He/She seems to be enjoying solitary moments. I love the cry of gulls.

Joy always and have a great October ahead, Jan.

    Joy always,

  2. Yes it is a gull. We got to the beach just after a baby storm front went through. It had washed a bunch of muscles from their mooring and the gulls were having a feast.

  23. I really loved this pictures. It reminded me of our home back in Cape Town. We lived 1km from the beach and I loved watching the gulls trying to break open shells to get to the juicy tidbits inside ;o)

  24. An unlucky critter, who finds itself in the beak of one of those! Great moment. Reminds me of our family trip to the Cape, where my daughter, upon realizing what the Seagulls were doing to the crabs, started chasing them angrily. This kept her occupied for about a half an hour! I tried to explain the "circle of life" to her, but she was still angry at the seagulls ;)
