Belknap Springs in the Winter.

The kids and I got cabin fever this week end, we decied to pack a lunch and go for a drive. This is what we saw, on the way there, (Belknap Springs), and on the way home.

Lodge at Belknap, the steam is from a hot springs pool, the water piped in from the natural hot spring.

2 blocks from home.
I was having a terrible time getting shots, the sun was so beautifully bright and the snow mesmerizing  white, I had white flash all over the place. The place is beautifully serene in winter, the gardens in the summer are gorgeous. A place you should put on your must see list. It is just a few miles from Sahalie Falls another spot of beauty on the McKenzie river.

  1. Dear Jan,

I'm so glad I stopped by! Your photos are truly lovely. I felt like I was walking in the woods along with you. Delightful!

Your composition, use of light & shadow, and reflections stood out as major contributors to the visual impact in many of these images.

I'm amazed, Jan, by your growth as an artist in the short time I've been following your work!

    Well done! Thank you!

    1. Thank you Linda, I truly don't see the difference, but I respect that you have noticed and enjoy my photos. I came at this post from a very insecure frame of mind, I posted anyway, thinking, this is where I was at the time, go with it. Thank you so much for your encouragement.

  9. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up.

The words in your content seem to be running off the
screen in Safari. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know.

The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon.
    Many thanks
