Remedy for Cabin Fever

After a week in the house with a bunch of yukky sick people, I begged my husband to take me out. thankfully he obliged. We headed out to Culp Creek,Oregon and continued on to Brice Creek and then even further out into the mountains where there are Forest Service numbers rather than names. We had Lewis along, he took a much needed nap, the weather was horrible, raining and hailing in the valley, quickly turning to straight hail, then snow the further up we went. I have as I have stated an inexpensive bridge camera. I does not have one of those shield thingy's for the lens, so I used my hand to protect it from getting wet. We discovered a lot of different stuff, like it was a 3 mile walk to Trestle Falls, which is where I was going to photograph. Randy wouldn't humor me that much, always says he is a trucker he doesn't walk. I am glad it turned out the way it did, I walked part way down the trail, got some wonderful shots, then we traveled on up the road where I saw so much more than I would have. I think this is the best photography I have ever done. I hope you enjoy as well.

    1. Thank you so much, see why I had the worries???<3<3<3

    2. Well I think there will always be worries when you take photos over whether they turned out 1/2 as good as you "think" they did, but it's time like these that show you how far you've come and how far your eye has developed. You should definitely be less worried and over the moon proud!! (((( Jan ))))

    3. Thank you so much, I am proud in a weird kind of way, why would I feel guilty for being proud??? Number 72 completely stunned me. I sat looking at it for a very long time. it is my favorite. these are all exactly what I saw through the lens too. I am still overwhelmed I think.

    4. Because your journey through this life hasn't always been something to be proud of, but you have come so far and continue to go so far every single day despite the bumps along the road. This most recent journey with your camera though should ABSOLUTELY be something you are proud of. In fact, you should be so proud that you should print and frame #72 and keep it where you can see it all the time as a reminder of the greatness you lock down deep and to remind you that you should be proud of yourself all day, every day.

      My favorites are....5, 23, 34, 50, 53, 63, 69, 71, 72, 74, 75, 97, 108, 110, and 115 all for different reasons! =)

    5. Thank you Jewell, you made me cry. It has been a long journey, getting longer it seems, but that is much better than not having a journey. I appreciate your support so much.

  13. I'm so glad that you got cabin fever or we would have never gone on this nature walk. I turned on the video and headed out. I was a little cold but the view was so amazing I soon forgot about the weather. When it started to snow I tried catching flakes on my tongue. Everything looked enchanted!
This was beautiful. You're an amazing photographer, and the fact that you braved the elements made the photos that much more impressive. Thank you for taking me with you <3

  23. Beautiful set of work. I esp. like the church. Many of my FB follows are no longer showing up on my FB pages and I can't figure out why. Must be some change FB made, yet again! I've gotten bogged down learning new software so haven't been blogging Photography Tips. Keep on shooting - your work is excellent and inspiring.
