Washington Street Bridge Park- Eugene Oregon

This is where Kenny sometimes sleeps.

This is my son and some of his friends from under the bridge.

The platform in the picture above, is a stage for bands and a place that the homeless are fed every week-end.

These bleachers are a gathering place.

Footprints of a community within a community.

I said I wouldn't write. I must for these pictures. My son Kenny took me on a tour of this park, This is where he lives much of the time and these people are his friends. A sad place for a mother to visit. It did remind me that all these people are someones children and I'm sure this is not what their parents had planned for their little ones either.

  1. I have been gone for a while and apparently missed a LOT of your posts :( I'm sorry about that.

But let me tell you, you have an eye to tell a story with photos. The first post I saw was beautiful and had some raw open pics that were almost like "another side of the world" in feel. Bravo Jan, you are finding one hell of a voice in photography <3

  2. Thanks Lisa. I am having a hard time with this tonight more so than yesterday. Partly because he will be back there in a day or too!

  3. Nice photos, you have a good eye. I was wondering where that wonderful field of mustard flower is located.

  4. The mustard flower field is about 10 to 15 miles outside of Silver Falls, Oregon. It was so beautiful.

  5. Thank you for visiting my photo blog. Silver Falls is near Albany Oregon in the other direction.
