Beautiful sunshiny morning. The boy loves the outdoors. |
|
Has so much fun just running back and forth, kicking leaves as he goes. |
|
Loves the swing, decided against it today... |
|
Wanted to just run and run. |
|
Then a catastrophe, face meets concrete. |
|
He was tired of doing the crawling on the steps I presume. |
|
Thought he could make the trip standing up. |
|
As you can see, he was not slowed down a bit. |
|
He loves the pool, right side up or upside down. |
|
Wonder if it will hold water next year? |
|
Look how pink his little fingers are from the cold. time to come in. |
|
Yona was so sad that play time was over. |
Lew went up and down those stairs probably 6 or 7 times before the fall. I was standing right there when it happened, he slid down the stairs hit the pavement and skidded across for a few inches he scared me to death. He didn't cry until I reacted, just laid there, which was even more frightening. He pushed himself up as I reached for him, turning his little cherub face to me, covered in blood. This gramma nearly had a heart attack. Going through my brain were all kinds of frightful thoughts, get his mommy and daddy on the phone . Where do I take him? I thought his nose was broke, couldn't tell where the blood originated, as he buried his face in my shoulder when I picked him up. I took him into the kitchen, washed his face, which he didn't mind a bit, it didn't look so bad after all. As I went to give him a hug s
to further console him, he pushed me back and said "out". He was soon tackling the steps again and running with the dog. I sat there and watched , the biggest grin on my face. The stubbornness, and tenacity shown in this child is an absolute inspiration to me. Stand up, wipe it off and get going....
I'll admit his high pain tolerance is a concern for his parents, but with the wonderful love and guidance they give him he will be just fine, of that I have no doubt.
Ohhhhhhhhhh he is absolutely precious...I bet beside eating concrete he tires gramma out...LOLOL..As always...XOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what kids do- and consider perfectly normal!
ReplyDeletethanks for the share.
He is so sweet...Need to learn something from him...
ReplyDelete@ Bongo; Oh my yes he tires me, but is the best exhaustion I have felt in a long time.
ReplyDelete@ Roy; Thank you for the visit, kids are resilient, we can learn so much from them.
@ Alpana; Yes he is a sweetie, and an ogre all in one, lololol
He is absolutely adorable. He reminds me of Ron, my son when he was a kid. He too had a high thresh hold for pain. Beautiful shots Jan

Kids are great like that. The cut doesnt look bad in the photos, but I'll bet it was way scarier while bleeding. Great shots. Thanks for sharing. :)

@ Rimly, Thank you, I think he is adorable too!
ReplyDelete@ Mani; Thank you.
@ Pokey, It was very scary with all the blood, I don't usually panic until after, this one got me, maybe because he didn't react. Weird tho'.
@ Portia; yes he is, an apt description.
