Seeking Solace

In my quest to seek solace in my time of grief, I took a stroll, I parked the car not far from home and walked familiar paths. I had been there so many times, I thought I had photographed the area enough for you and for myself. Yet as I walked I found many photo opportunities that hadn't occurred in the past, I am pleased and excited to bring you these photos. I hope you enjoy them.
Oh one more thing, there were areas that I did not go into as I usually do, there were many camps of the homeless, I did not want to breach their privacy, seemed much like someone taking photos through my living room window. I have no desire to make anyone uncomfortable.

I went up a hill on the highway, came back on the other side taking a side-trip off the highway, to a little boat ramp park on the McKenzie River that I have shot many times. Here are the results.

The only flower I saw!

This is Jan's favorite, I saw the spider that calls this home, too tiny for my camera to capture.

I was a dreary grey day with rain sporadically pouring down, but the solace I sought was there despite the rain, the rain being such a good friend,  wouldn't have seemed right without it

  1. Dear Jan,
I was simply spellbound by these photos which defeat all my adjectives! the berries, the single ,solitary fallen leaf, the 'meditating stone' in the stream and that 'only flower'....
Thank you very much for sharing this splendour with us!
