These photos are of a day trip Randy and I took with the children, this past July, we drove out the McKenzie Hwy and drove to Sisters, Oregon then circled back down the hill to Springfield, stopping to see some of the sights of our area. I have placed links for more history and information, I get mesmerized by the beauty and fail to take notes.

These are the Lava Flows, gorgeous and desolate, I visit this place frequently, I take the children here, like the ocean it shows the awesome power of nature.
The photo directly above is a lava river, this is where it flowed creating the trench you see.

The Pictures above are of the McKenzie Fish Hatchery : I have provided a link for you to read up on it if you wish. I am terrible at explaining where I have been and what the photos are of , I have placed links for each special spot we stopped on this day.
This was just where we stopped or lunch. A pull out on the side of the road.http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=HGW276-049 http://www.myscenicdrives.com/drives/oregon/mckenzie-santiam-scenic-byway
